Our client sought an asset tracing investigation into a prominent Portuguese businessman who owed them significant funds due to the non-repayment of a loan.

Approach

We investigated the subject’s corporate interests and property holdings, utilizing property and corporate registries, geolocation analysis, media databases, and litigation records to uncover hidden assets.

Findings

We identified properties, companies, and high-value assets, such as a helicopter, owned by the individual. By cross-referencing corporate records, media reports, and property filings, we located a large estate and determined the subject was attempting to conceal several of his assets through fronts.

Impact

Our client successfully reclaimed the funds they were owed, despite the subject’s efforts to hide the ownership of some of his assets.
